How to Apply to University of Warsaw as a Moroccan Student

The 2026/2027 recruitment calendar wasn't published at the time of writing — check IRK directly for exact dates. English-taught Bachelor's tuition is 4,000€–4,300€/year (2025/2026 rates, official fee sheet). No entrance exam for most Bachelor's programmes — admission is based on your baccalauréat average. You'll need an apostilled baccalauréat, an English certificate (B2+), and a motivation letter. Student visa processing at the Polish consulate in Rabat typically takes 4–6 weeks.

1. Check your eligibility
Important correction: Morocco is not a party to the Lisbon Recognition Convention — that convention applies to Council of Europe / European countries, and Morocco is not a Council of Europe member. The Moroccan baccalaureate actually needs formal recognition beforehand (via Kuratorium Oświaty, or an individual recognition statement from NAWA through the SYRENA system) — see our dedicated article on this. Don't assume direct acceptance without this step; contact University of Warsaw's international admissions office to confirm their exact process.
2. Prepare your documents
You'll need an apostilled baccalauréat and transcripts, a certified English translation, an English certificate (IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 80 or equivalent), a passport copy, and a one-page motivation letter.
3. Submit through the IRK portal
All applications go through Poland's national IRK (Internet Registration of Candidates) system. Each university has its own IRK instance, linked from its programme page on this site.
4. After acceptance: the visa process
Once accepted, you'll use the official acceptance letter to apply for a national (D) student visa at the Polish consulate in Rabat. Apply as early as possible after acceptance.
